Bodilly CPAs and Consultants actually started on a Lake Mendota boat ride during the summer of 2002. A few of us were talking about the challenges experienced at work and what it would be like to possibly establish a new practice with different ideals. After many thoughtful discussions about how we could implement some of our ideas at our current firm, we concluded the only solution was to go out on our own.
Although as a group we had over 75 years of public accounting experience, John Bodilly was an established partner with a strong book of business built over many years. It was his leadership and willingness to take the upfront risk that enabled our firm to open its doors, and the reason his name is our banner.
In November of 2002 Bodilly CPAs and Consultants opened for business.
As proponent of utilizing technology to the benefit of our clients and the environment, we began a green revolution within our office and are now credited as the first official paperless CPA firm in Wisconsin. Utilizing new technology as a cornerstone of our business enables us to offer services that other CPA firms may not be capable of providing.
With us, it’s not just about numbers. The fun part of business life is not forgotten. It was after all a boat ride that was the genesis of our practice. Today one of the key motivators is that we have a fun and fulfilling place to work, and we believe that pays off- big time. Not only in quality of life, but that a fun environment lends itself to look at a problem in a different way, to explore ways to create innovative solutions to a diverse set of client needs.
